This CPD session on Martyn’s Law and Lockdown: Understanding Life Safety through the Lens of Fire Safety explores how to become Martyn’s Law compliant with links to existing fire safety principles, focusing on life safety, risk assessment, and effective communication. It highlights the importance of structured emergency planning, clear evacuation and lockdown procedures to reduce confusion and improve response. By viewing terrorism preparedness through the established lens of fire safety, participants will gain a practical understanding of compliance, staff training, and resilience measures that protect people in high-risk environments.
