Paul Hunt
Paul Hunt is a highly experienced Industrial Senior Sales Manager with more than 30 years in the safety sector. Paul’s specialism is Category III Head-to-Toe Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and throughout his career, he has worked across rail, utilities, construction, aerospace, Defence and blue light sectors, helping organisations to improve both worker safety and comfort in high-risk environments.
Paul's expertise spans a wide range of specialist safety solutions, including industrial head protection, working at height equipment, gas detection and monitoring, flame-resistant (FR) and arc protective PPE, and confined space safety and rescue. He has spent decades supporting customers in specifying, selecting, implementing, and managing critical safety systems that protect workers and ensure compliance with evolving industry standards.

Paul Manning is the Services Manager at BSIF and a highly respected voice in the UK PPE and safety sector, bringing more than 25 years of industry experience.
His career spans:
- Over 12 years working within PPE supply organisations
- More than 4 years with a UK PPE test laboratory and notified/approved body
- 9+ years at BSIF, supporting safety professionals, promoting compliance, and helping shape industry awareness initiatives
Paul leads and contributes to a number of influential BSIF campaigns, including "Just Because It Fits", which highlights the importance of ensuring hearing protection and safety helmets are tested and certified together as a compatible system, rather than simply relying on physical fit.
He is also currently leading awareness initiatives around:
- EN 16321, the new standard for eye and face protection
- EN 397:2025, the latest safety helmet standard and the focus of this webinar
In addition, Paul plays a key role in managing BSIF's Registered Safety Supplier Scheme (RSSS), which independently audits suppliers against their legal obligations under PPE Regulations.
