Event details

Royal Assent for Martyn’s Law was granted in April 2025. Full compliance is mandatory by 2027, meaning that, for UK venues, the implementation process has already begun.

What is Martyn’s Law?

Martyn's Law is UK legislation requiring venues with 200+ capacity to have procedures and security measures in place to help prevent terrorist attacks.

The 24-month countdown to Martyn’s Law enforcement has begun. 250,000+ UK venues are now looking to upgrade their security infrastructure in order to avoid the penalties associated with non-compliance - which could include fines, prosecution or closure.

Early-moving installers are already securing major contracts, while unprepared competitors watch from the sidelines.

Join this webinar to discover:

  • 2025 reality check: venues trying to get ahead of the compliance deadline are beginning to release security upgrade budgets
  • 2026 implementation phase: most venues will look to upgrade in 2026, meaning that security contractors and CCTV installers will be in high demand during this period.
  • 2027 enforcement: what happens to non-compliant venues (spoiler: it’s brutal)
  • The two-tier trap: why most installers misunderstand enhanced vs standard duty.
  • TVT’s proven arsenal: how these systems already protect the New York City Subway, the Polish National Bank, and Bulgarian Border Security.

Real client cases

  • Shopping center: £2.3M emergency upgrade (signed October 2025)
  • University campus: £1.8M phased installation (2025-2026)
  • Entertainment venue: £950K expedited implementation with a compliance deadline looming.

If you install security systems, Martyn’s Law presents the opportunity to make a material contribution to public safety and peace of mind. By taking on these contracts, your company will play a vital role in protecting children, young people, families and friends at concerts, sporting fixtures and other major events for years to come.

The size of the venues covered by Martyn’s Law naturally dictates that the size and scale of these installations is likely to be significant. It is not uncommon for Martyn’s Law contracts to be worth between £50,000 and £2million+.

If you manage a venue with 200+ capacity and need to understand your legal obligations, or you advise businesses on security, compliance, or risk management, this webinar will provide all the answers you need.

If you sell security equipment and want to understand the increased demand that this implementation period will cause, this webinar will help you to plan ahead - even if Martyn's Law doesn't affect you directly, your clients will need guidance over the next 24 months.

All attendees will receive a CPD certificate.
