Event details
As one of the most powerful forces on earth, there is little more dangerous than an uncontrolled fire – and fires in multi-storey or underground car parks are prone to spread rapidly, burning at extremely high intensity.
With the ever-growing popularity of e-vehicles - coupled with the dirty, dusty and damp environments of car parks - fires in this sector are becoming more common, and are often detected too late. This was highlighted clearly with the recent Luton car park fire, where almost 1500 cars were destroyed.
With common forms of fire detection subject to failure in environments that are exposed to adverse weather, debris or overheating, complete coverage, high sensitivity and reliability are all fundamental features of any fire detection system in this application. Linear heat detection not only meets the BS5839 regulatory compliance and standards, it is designed to provide the earliest form of detection, prevent false alarms, and is entirely unaffected by airflow, dangerous chemicals or toxins. It is additionally much easier to install and maintain as well as easily interfacing into an addressable fire panel.
This webinar will consider the most efficient and effective ways to detect the threat of fire in challenging environments, linear heat detection not only meets the BS5839 regulatory compliance and standards, it is designed to provide the earliest form of detection, prevent false alarms, and is entirely unaffected by airflow, dangerous chemicals or toxins.
All attendees will receive a CPD certificate.
