As Martyn’s Law moves towards implementation, organisations need to understand how the new public protection procedures sit alongside existing fire safety arrangements – and, importantly, where they must remain distinct.

This follow-up CPD webinar examines the latest guidance surrounding Martyn’s Law, including evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communication, and explores how these procedures interact with established fire strategies.

Focus will be given to the differences between a fire alarm and a lockdown alert, why the same warning cannot simply be used for both, and the importance of clear, situation-specific communication. The session will also consider how organisations can review their existing systems, emergency procedures and staff training to support an effective response while avoiding conflicting life safety instructions.
