HID Amico is a biometric access control reader combining facial recognition with physical credentials, mobile access, QR codes and PINs, with the option to use more than one authentication method.
In this Benchmark Assessment Webinar, Skills for Security will look at how HID Amico 7’ device works in practice, including setup and configuration, facial enrolment and recognition, usability and the different ways users can authenticate.
HID Amico uses Paravision AI technology for facial recognition and supports up to 10,000 facial credentials as standard. It also includes options such as OSDP, Ethernet and Power over Ethernet, while its Template on Card approach can keep a user's biometric template on their credential rather than in a central database.
The assessment will look beyond the specification. How easy is Amico to configure and use? How does facial recognition perform in practice? And what should security professionals consider when introducing this type of authentication into an access control system?
